After careful consideration, and in light of a serious legal threat from an individual named David Howell Evans, also known as The Edge, we have made the difficult decision to rename the event.

We were informed that our continued use of the word “Edge” may cause confusion among the general public, particularly those who regularly confuse Old School Magic tournaments with legendary Irish rock guitarists.

While we believe this risk was minimal, we have chosen not to test the full power of arena-level legal representation. “Brink” felt like the natural next step. It has height. It has drama. It has distance from the word “Edge.” The Jos Brink estate seems cool with it.

Effective immediately, The Edge-Man Championship will become The Brink-Man Championship. Mr. Evans’ legal team granted us a couple of days to update the Brink-Man Championship website. All necessary changes are due before the end of the week.

Please note that nothing else is changing. We appreciate your support during this difficult and completely ridiculous transition.
