Welcome to the Championship
The Edge-Man Championship brings players, collectors, artists and friends together for a full weekend devoted to Magic’s earliest era.
The Edge-Man Championship is more than a tournament. It is a celebration of the cards, artwork, friendships and stories that keep Old School Magic alive.
Players arrive with carefully tuned decks, strange brews, beloved cards and collections built over many years. Some come to compete for the title. Others come to cast forgotten spells, meet old friends and become part of the Gathering.
The main event combines serious Old School gameplay with themed prizes, custom artwork, patches, playmats, side events and a strong emphasis on creativity and community.
Every player contributes to the atmosphere. The Championship belongs as much to the people travelling to Tilburg as it does to the person organizing it.
Swedish Old School at the Core
The Championship follows the Swedish Old School rules and Banned and Restricted List, combined with The Edge-Man’s accessible reprint policy.

Every Year, a New Adventure
The rules remain rooted in Old School, but every Championship transports The Edge-Man and the community into a different world.
Each edition begins with a theme. That theme influences the artwork, visual campaign, patch, playmats, prizes, alters, merchandise, side events and atmosphere of the entire weekend.
The annual identity is never intended to replace Old School Magic. It gives the same beloved cards a new stage on which to create stories.
Theme and Artwork
Every year places The Edge-Man in a new world, inspired by the films, games, comics and visual culture we love.
Patches and Playmats
Each edition receives collectible artwork, custom patches, unique playmats and physical reminders of the adventure.
Prizes and Side Events
The theme continues through altered cards, spice prizes, giveaways, side events and community activities.
