The Edge-Man Championship 2024
On January 18, 2024, the inaugural edition of The Edge-Man Championship commenced, marking not only a competition for Old School Magic supremacy but also a heartfelt expression of gratitude to the vibrant community that had flourished over the years. Despite my initial doubts and pre-tournament jitters as an organizer, the event unfolded into a joyous celebration of shared passion and camaraderie.
As 64 players gathered and decks were shuffled at Wijkcentrum Jeruzalem, the now official home of the Championship, it became evident that The Edge-Man Championship was more than just about the cards—it was about the connections formed and the stories shared. From seasoned veterans to eager newcomers, each match brimmed with both competition and camaraderie. As the day progressed, tensions rose, culminating in a thrilling final round where Henk Willemse emerged as the inaugural champion, solidifying The Edge-Man Championship as a testament to the enduring spirit of the Old School Magic community.
